He had made it a molten calf:
and they said: “These be thy gods.”
—Exodus 32:4

Desperate, despised and dumb, a dancing bear,
With Musso’s scowl, small hands and gilded hair.
His puerile tantrums and his infant’s rage
So ill become a statesman and a sage.
With monstrous ego, either mad or vain
He cannot bear the intellectual strain.
He’s not the man who has it in his power
To stay consistent with himself an hour.
No thought can burden his enfeebled brain,
Who tries to teach him, teaches him in vain.
Offend him, and he knows not to forgive,
Oblige him, and he’ll hate you while you live.
Mocked for the loss of friends he never had,
The dull, the proud, the wicked and the mad.
Plagued by his lust and ruined by his hate
Shameless with shame, with crime a guilty mate.
Rotten, corrupt, enough to make you spew
He thrived with swindles as the swindles grew.
Riveted to sofa, flicks telly with his paw
And shoves another burger in his maw.
Fraud, liar, trickster, tyrant, toxic thing
He craves the trappings of a spoiled king.
He cheats at golf, stirs absurd farrago
Costs three mil each trip to Mar-a-Lago.
Keen to indulge a maniac’s charade
He drains us for an armaments parade.
Denied the pleasures of his marriage bed
He rages ’gainst his grovelers instead.
Yet sycophant religious eat him up,
Swallow the slime and pass the bitter cup.

He steals scared children from the immigrants
And throws them into concentration camps.
Logic is gagged, facts drowned, science in chains
As all true knowledge slithers down the drains.
The planet melts, the rivers swell and rise
And fatal gases poison once-bright skies.
A timorous foe and a suspicious fraud
Half threat, half venom, spits himself abroad.
Driven by impulse, mindless every day,
He’s hostile to Merkel, Macron and May.
Great Acheson and Marshall once held State,
Hopeless, pompous Pompeo is our fate.
Dazed by crazed Bolton and bloody Bannon,
He’d drop the bombs and fire off the cannon.
He does more harm to nations on a whim
Than cruel Putin or than killer Kim
And both have learned to outmaneuver him.
Mock, foil and trap Trump till he starts to screech,
Then cry out with one voice: Impeach! Impeach!

Honest servants are cut without a glance
As flatterers and courtiers advance
To kiss his bottom and secure a chance.
What stroke or sickness can this plague remove?
What accident or bolt of lightning prove?
If Hitler were the Führer at this hour,
Republicans would suck up to keep power.
Let conscientious leaders follow right
And guide us through the darkness to the light.
