Show BioHide BioDr. Giannina Lissa Garcés-Ambrossi, M.D. is a Quechua Latina (Ecuadorian Indigenous People) double-board-certified physician, and founder of Jupiter, FL’s first ICU. After an ESL childhood, she graduated Mary Baldwin College Phi Beta Kappa at 18 years old. She received her M.D. with Honors from Hopkins Med, then trained in neurosurgery, anesthesia, and critical care at Harvard. She’s on the Hopkins alumni board, and mentors UnderRepresentedInMedicine students. In addition to her substantial scholarly output, she was a Writing Scholar at Harvard University, an Aaron Foundation Writing Fellow at the Center for American Progress, and has published in The Nation, The Intima, KevinMD, Women in White Coats, Doximity, Medscape, and ScaryMommy.
