Dan Geddes

Dan Geddes is the editor of the online journal The Satirist: America's Most Critical Journal, a unique collection of satires, reviews, imaginary reviews, fiction, essays, and satirical news.

Geddes' work has also appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Dry Bones Review, and The Modern Word. Geddes' criticism in The Satirist has been referenced by The Atlantic, The Guardian (UK), Discovery/Planet Green, Wikipedia, university websites, books of literary criticism, Ph.D. and Master's theses, and hundreds of websites.

Born and raised in Euclid, Ohio (near Cleveland), Geddes earned bachelor's degrees in philosophy and history from Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College in three years. After leaving Ph.D. studies to write fiction, Geddes worked as a legal editor in Florida. He later worked in Washington, DC as a software developer, before moving to Amsterdam.

In addition to writing The Satirist, Geddes has written a novel, a book of European travel stories, and a poetry collection, amongst many other works.

He has most recently written a screenplay, a romantic comedy set in Amsterdam.

Geddes is currently finalizing the print versions of The Satirist, Volume I and The Satirist, Volume II: Criticism.
